Took a bit of a risk with the warm midsummer weather and restocked the fishery, seems to have worked with the trout feeding and some good catches , a four pounder yesterday too .

Great evening on Saturday! Bit of a slog for an hour or two. One of those frustrating days, catching the trees! Changing flies etc then all of a sudden caught by PB and two others in about 25 minutes.
Great fight too!
Resorted to some old favourites, and a bloody butcher and whisky fly worked a treat!
Sunday these wee beasties were smoked as per Wes’ excellent instructions! I need to fine tune my filleting technique, but I got there in the end! And they certainly tasted great!
Looking forward to my next evening rise in the next few days!
