PLEASE NOTE
Due to poor survival rate of caught and released fish, Catch & Release is not currently permitted at Willow Lakes. All fish should be landed as quickly as possible and dispatched efficiently and humanely before removal of hook.
INTRODUCTION
Willow Lakes consists of two lakes of 11/2 and 21/2 acres, well sheltered from cold winds, with deep water close to the banks making long casting unnecessary. There are prolific hatches of "buzzers" & sedges, with good evening rises from May onwards.
FACILITIES
There is a fishing hut with table, ample seating, electric light, a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee, and a wash basin. We have also provided Gutting / cleaning facilities, but you'll need to bring your own knife! Keeping the environment very much in mind, we have a composting toilet should you find yourself in need during your visit.
STOCK
The lakes are stocked with rainbows and a small quantity of browns. We stock with fish up to 6lbs from our own stock ponds. Fishery record is 9lbs Rainbow and 5lbs Brown - so far...
An Environment Agency rod license is required to fish at Willow Lakes
